I really enjoyed working with Novelette because we addressed many issues together (coaching the whole person). As someone who works in the medical field, much of my time is spent looking after others.
I was struggling with my weight, but my instincts told me there was more going on than just needing to eat less and exercise more. I tried Weight Watchers, and although I did lose weight, it wasn’t sustainable, and it didn’t address the emotional connection I had with food.
I felt I needed additional support and to be held accountable in the journey I was about to embark on. Talking to Novelette, someone who took genuine interest in how my life’s circumstances affected me, was refreshing. It allowed me to work through many stressors, which led to my overeating. Our coaching sessions resulted in me digging into and addressing some work stressors. And, I took steps with my doctor to begin anti-anxiety medication. I’m happy to report that my anxiety is well-controlled and I’m sticking to the boundaries I set for myself in the workplace. I’m really doing better with self-care. It is much easier to sustain healthy habits, as I’m able to understand and manage my life stressors.
